KDS Steel embarked upon the steel manufacturing industry in 1989, with the establishment of KY Steel Mills Limited which embraced the role as the first and leading private manufacturer of world class corrugated galvanized iron sheet to meet the large demand of roofing sheets and side walls of huts in the country' vast rural housing sector.

From its commencement, KDS Steel has been at the forefront of the impressive development of Bangladesh's flat steel manufacturing and has continually expanded its product line through strategic and integrated backward and downstream manufacturing advancements.
